Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue

Though to some people, Valentine’s Day may not be a real holiday, to us, any day that revolves around flowers and wine deserves to be celebrated! We started the celebration a little early this year with some romance inspired samplings at various grocery locations across Ontario and will be continuing them into this coming weekend. Who says it can’t be Valentine’s Week! And if you don’t have a special someone to spend the time with – a good ol’ Gal-entine’s get together featuring your favourite wine and chocolate pairing is a great way to enjoy the day.

Many of our upcoming alcohol samplings will be taking place in retail locations (grocery stores) as LCBO stores are now conducting tastings using their own employees. In order to conduct samplings in grocery stores, you will need to have your Smart Serve certification as well as a Food Handling certification. This can be done online at the below link:

It takes between 5-8 hours, costs around $40.00 and will open up many more opportunities for you. This really is a great investment.

Over the years we have participated in a number of Valentine themed activations. Most recently we were a part of a cupid themed private party for which we provided bartenders. Since movie dates are quite a popular choice, we have also done many activations at movie theatres across Canada promoting various products, most memorable being Axe body spray (a staple for the gentleman prior to any Valentine’s Day date).

We hope everyone has a fun and love filled day and can celebrate it with those who mean the most. Be sure to pop by your local LCBO or grocery retailer this week (and even this weekend) to grab a bottle of bubbly or lovely red wine – as you will most likely find a G of G Inc brand ambassador there. After that, grab some flowers and chocolate and enjoy the evening!
