Simple Made Better – Our Work with Uniqlo
Uniqlo is a Japanese clothing company with stores popping up across North America, most recently in British Columbia with two new stores in Richmond and Surrey. Our team participated in street teams put together to inform the public about who Uniqlo is, what they stand for and where people can find their amazing products! Uniqlo prides itself on having a clothing line appropriate and made for all ages, genders, occupations, ethnicities that can be combined with your own closet to create a look all your own. While being high quality, they are also affordable and accessible to all (especially with more stores popping up all over!).
What were we doing? Our team lead led the brand ambassadors in meeting the following goals:
-elevate awareness of Uniqlo and the Richmond Centre (home of one of the new stores)
-drive public to store
-capture content and support the brands PR strategy
A street team requires outgoing and engaging individuals who aren’t afraid to approach strangers. They speak to them in a passionate and meaningful way in order to create a positive association with the brand, and leave that patron feeling good and positive toward the brand after the interaction with the brand ambassador. This is just what our team displayed, as they were invited back to partake in another grand opening of the newest British Columbia Uniqlo location. Sometimes the weather may not be on your side during a street team activation, but the show must go on! Dressing appropriately for the weather, including a big smile, is key to not letting the forecast interfere with performance. March and April don’t always see the best weather on the West Coast but that didn’t stop our squad from achieving their goal.
