The Art of Art
Spring has sprung! Along with this season (even though it may be hard to see in this snow!) comes the launch of the Spring 2017 issue of Canadian Art magazine. Canadian Art is Canada’s most popular art magazine released 4 times a year. It features top Canadian writers who explore artists and art exhibitions which shape the Canadian art scene.
For art lovers and new fans alike, March 11th was a full day of talent as Vancouver hosted “Gallery Day”. It was a free day of talks in galleries all over Vancouver, featuring Canadian Art editors and contributors. Attendees were able to travel from gallery to gallery, popping in for these talks which were scheduled throughout the day, allowing visitors to create their own itinerary.
The day concluded with the launch party which was where you could find the G of G Inc team. We were stationed at the Louis M Martini wine table, offering samples to those in attendance. Think of the Pepsi Taste Challenge, except for adults! Our staff guided guests through a blind red wine tasting and afterwards taught them about the different wines, their originating regions, and how to tell the difference between the wines. After learning about the fabulous product, they were able to leave the station with a full glass of their preferred varietal. Not a red wine drinker? They had a lovely Chardonnay option as well! The pairing of the Louis M Martini wines and the crowd at the Vancouver Art Gallery that evening was ideal. The crowd really enjoyed and appreciated learning about the various wines while sampling, and our team was delighted to be able to educate those who have a passion for wine, possibly helping them to add a new wine into their collection!
