We Want Candy!

I want candy! Who can say no to a sugary pick me up during the day? I know I can’t and if you are anything like me, you are going to wish you were as lucky as some our team members who got to take part in a sweet and sour spring activation!

Android Pay has recently launched in Canada, allowing Canadians to have a new option for easy, fast and secure payments in stores, in apps and on the web! Now although it may seem intimidating, it was extremely well received by everyone who passed through the footprint either in the Google Head Quarters or at major banking institutions who are on board with this awesome application, both in Toronto and Montreal. Our brand ambassadors were introducing every guest to Android Pay, showing them how to use the app, and then ending the transaction by helping them buy a bag of candy from the pop up shop, for 1 cent! Who doesn’t love (almost!) free candy! Our team was able to easily adapt to and hop into the tech savvy aspect of the program, even those who aren’t android users caught on quickly.

Ryan was a part of the Toronto activation and had the following to say about his experience. “I was very fortunate to be part of the Android Pay event as I had the opportunity to encourage people to download the app, provide demos and let them know how easy, convenient, and secure it is. The launch day at Google’s head office went very well as guests entered our pop up candy shop and received useful information about how Android Pay came to fruition in the Canadian market. Furthermore, once they received our demos they were impressed at how quickly they could make mobile payments with just one click! Overall, they were excited to lighten their wallets and add their cards to the app, even their gift and loyalty cards. And of course, the candy they received at the end was the icing on the cake!”

We know that this is an app we will for sure be checking out, and we suggest you do too – why not have some extra room in your purse for some candy instead of cards? YUM!
